Energy Performance Certificates
Since 14th December 2007 all homes marketed for sale require an Energy Performance Certificate. Although an Estate Agent can market your house before the Energy Performance Certificate is received, a Domestic Energy Assessor must have been instructed to prepare the Certificate before marketing commences.
So what is an Energy Performance Certificate?
Energy Performance Certificate’s provide information on how to make your home more energy efficient and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The Energy Performance Certificate provides ratings on your current energy efficiency and carbon dioxide emissions with potential figures that it could receive if certain energy saving measures where implemented.
How do I get one for my property?
At Charles Newton & Co we have a team of Domestic Energy Assessor’s ready to prepare the Energy Performance Certificate at your convenience, as soon as we give them the go ahead. In fact our turn around time from receiving your initial instructions to receiving the completed Energy Performance Certificate from the Domestic Energy Assessor is typically just 2-3 days!
And what’s more, you don’t have to worry about it, as we organise the whole thing.
Please call us today on (01773) 535535 (Eastwood Office) or (01159) 305070 (Ilkeston Office), to discuss obtaining an Energy Performance Certificate for your house.
